Kearney Partner and Consumer and Retail Practice Asia Pacific Co-Lead Siddharth Pathak loves consulting because it requires him to keep learning to remain current on critical business topics. “The learning never stops. It is fascinating to understand the challenges our clients face and the opportunities they are targeting, and to partner with them on their journeys,” he says. “It is also fascinating that most solutions are multidimensional requiring technology, people, and processes to work together.
“My personal motto is to be brilliantly practical,” he adds. “There are many great ideas on paper. Our success as consultants lies in driving impact on the ground.”
In one of Siddharth’s favorite engagements, he and his team helped to bring a leading ASEAN company into the digital age. “In 2019, our client had an ambitious digital leader who had a very progressive vision of the role digital can play to leapfrog them,” he recalls. “It was a very traditional, brick-and-mortar business, so obtaining buy-in was a challenge—as was putting data and AI to work. The change management aspect was big, but we worked through it and the transformation took hold and that company is now a digital leader in its market, which is very rewarding to see.”
Siddharth’s Kearney journey started in 2008, when he was a summer intern in Singapore while working on his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore. He joined the firm as a consultant in India the next year before relocating to Singapore. Over his career, he has served clients in the food and beverage, beauty and personal care, consumer health, distribution, food service, and retail sectors across Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, China, Japan, South Korea, and India. “Kearney has always given me the opportunity to be who I am and to pursue my passions,” he comments.
Siddharth and his wife have two daughters. Siddharth enjoys playing badminton and trying new restaurants in town.
