As Vice President of Google Cloud Go To Market Strategic Industries, Carrie Tharp leads a team that drives solution strategy and prioritization, supports strategic industry customer interactions, and drives Go To Market design for priority industries including Financial Services, Healthcare, Media & Entertainment, Manufacturing, and Retail and Consumer Goods. She previously led Google Cloud’s Go To Market strategy and solutions for retail and consumer industries, helping businesses unlock the power of the cloud to drive value and improve customer experiences.
Prior to Google, Carrie held various CXO roles across retail, travel and consumer goods industries. She most recently served as the chief digital and marketing officer for The Neiman Marcus Group, where she was responsible for all aspects of e-commerce across Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Last Call and Horchow brands.
Before that, Carrie was senior vice president of e-commerce and chief marketing officer at Fossil Group, Inc., responsible for global e-commerce and online operations of all owned and licensed brands in the Fossil portfolio. Carrie has also held various technology, operator and strategy roles at Travelocity, Bain & Company, Dean Foods and TXU. She currently serves as an independent director on the Vera Bradley (VRA) Board of Directors and the Rue Gilt Group Board of Directors. Carrie also serves on the National Retail Federation (NRF) Board of Directors on behalf of Google.
Carrie holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern. She currently resides in Dallas, Texas with her husband and their three girls.
