Azidah Alimuddin
Head of AEON Delicatessen & Food Processing Centre
Azidah Alimuddin is a seasoned retail leader with nearly two decades of experience in the retail and food business industry, specializing in delicatessen operations, food processing, product development, and halal retail excellence. She currently serves as the Head of Delicatessen and Food Processing Centre for AEON Co. (M) Bhd., where she leads the strategic direction of Ready-to-Eat (RTE) business, central kitchen operations, and food innovation across the organization.
She began her journey with AEON in 2007 as a Management Trainee after graduating with a degree in Industrial Physics from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Skudai. In 2008, she was selected for an intensive six-month retail and delicatessen training program in Tokyo, Japan, where she earned recognition as a Sushi Master under AEON Japan. Upon returning to Malaysia, she played a key role in strengthening delicatessen operations across store operations, merchandising, and headquarters management.
Azidah was also one of the pioneers in establishing halal certification for AEON’s delicatessen business, leading the company to become the first retail chain in Malaysia to receive certification from JAKIM for its delicatessen operations. This achievement positioned AEON as a market leader in halal sushi and ready-to-eat offerings and contributed to the company receiving the Global Halal Excellence Awards in 2020 and 2022.
Her leadership extends beyond Malaysia, contributing to delicatessen development projects across ASEAN, including Cambodia and Indonesia. In 2024, she was honored with the AEON Group Best Executive Award Japan in recognition of her outstanding leadership, innovation, and contribution to business growth.
