Shimakawa Motoi


Managing Executive Officer, Beverage Business Group

MOTOI joined Nestlé Japan and has taken on significant responsibilities in brand marketing within the Beverage Business Group.

He has successfully managed multiple product categories, contributing to the growth of core business areas while spearheading innovations such as IoT coffee systems and related business models.

Additionally, he has developed end-to-end marketing strategies for the Nescafé brand across various product formats and touchpoints.

Since 2020, he has served as the Assistant Regional Manager for Zone AOA at Nestlé's headquarters in Switzerland, where he provided strategic planning support to various markets.

After returning to Japan in 2022, he oversaw all e-commerce activities for Nestlé Japan, encompassing digital marketing and the development of D2C ecosystem.

He also led new business development and spearheaded company-wide digital transformation across divisions.

In 2025, MOTOI has taken the role of Head of the Beverage Business Group, where he oversees both in-home and out-of-home business.

He is responsible for the P/L of two iconic coffee brands: NESCAFÉ and STARBUCKS CPG, driving overall growth within the beverage category.
